ArtsBridge Foundation, producer of the 9th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards – Shuler Hensley Awards, announces the 2017 Shuler Awards winners.
Men and women in musical theatre dream of winning Broadway’s stop honor, the Tony Award. But before the Tonys, future stage stars in Georgia have the chance to win another prestigious award.
It started off with just 13 participating schools, but it has grown to involve 75 high schools from across the state.
High school gatherings usually bring drama, and Thursday’s assembly at the Cobb Energy Centre will be no exception.
As you begin the New Year with a renewed focus on your family’s health and welfare, why not include activities to broaden your children and teens’ appreciation for learning and the arts?
The arts education arm of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre served more than 43,000 students and teachers during their 2015-16 season.
Shuler Awards Hit the Stage at Nationals
28 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards, which showcase the next generation of Georgia’s musical theatre talent, will be presented at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 21
