Mission & Vision

Our Mission is "To enrich the lives of Georgia Pre-K to 12th grade students through transformative arts education experiences" and our Vision is that
"All Georgia students and educators have access and exposure to the arts."

ArtsBridge Foundation provides exceptional arts education programs and experiences, which are tied to classroom curriculum and the Georgia Standards of Excellence, to engage, motivate and elevate Georgia's Pre-K-12 public, private, charter, magnet, cyber, and homeschool students.

Through ArtsBridge, we support the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) educational approach and fill a critical gap that many of our schools unfortunately can no longer provide. We understand that the "A" in STEAM - arts education - is crucial to the holistic education and development of students. Extensive research and studies have proven that exposure to the arts increases academic achievement, while enhancing test scores, social skills, critical thinking, and problem solving. It also provides discipline and an environment that breaks down social and cultural barriers while concurrently giving them a chance to explore their talents and abilities.

We believe all of Georgia's Pre-K-12 students deserve access to the arts, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer a Financial Aid Subsidy Program to assist schools and families to eliminate barriers and provide access to the arts via admission and bus transportation subsidy. Our innovative Snack Pack Program helps to eliminate hunger pangs for all students attending a lunchtime Field Trip program at the Cobb Energy Centre. Even more, we follow a principle of I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access), because we are committed to diversity at all levels and of all kinds, and we celebrate the uniqueness and gifts of everyone.

History

In 2005, ArtsBridge Foundation was founded as the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation to raise funds for the creation of the world-class venue, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (CEPAC). Following a successful capital campaign and the completion of CEPAC in 2007, the Foundation pivoted to focus on its primary mission of conducting outreach and providing arts education for the community. To better align our organizational name and mission, reflecting how we serve as “bridge” to the arts, we fittingly changed our name to “ArtsBridge Foundation” in 2014.

Since 2007, ArtsBridge has engaged nearly 425,000 Pre-K-12 students and educators from 70 Georgia counties (and even five surrounding states!). We offer high-quality, curated programs at the Cobb Energy Centre in the form of  Field Trips,  Professional Development  Tech Theatre Workshops and the annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards® (nominated for 12 Southeast Emmy® Awards with six wins!).

Founding Patrons

With immense gratitude, we recognize our Founding Patrons, whose visionary gifts continue to create a cascade of generosity from individuals, corporations, foundations, and governments. It is because of their foundational support that we can continue to offer high-quality arts education programs to Georgia’s Pre-K-12 students.
